Day 419 - 7th March 2012

After yesterday's submission I expected to be a little free and had planned to catch up on all the books have to be read. However the first half of today was consumed by MCSA work. Had a meeting with the executive registrar and the associate director for some work related to the dissertation committee. The meeting for one almost two hours. Post lunch had to send out some mails for the senior committee selection process.

The finals of the MCL were played today and it was a PGP-2 v/s PGP-1 game, just like last year's final. It pretty much followed the same trend like last year's game where the PGP-1 team faced a batting collapse and put up an almost at par score. The PGP-2 team chased it but not without a few hiccups. There was even a prize distribution with all finalists winning medals and trophies for the man of the match, man of the tournament and winning captain. All of these were given by the MCSA :P

Went to the gym in the evening. Dinner in the mess was a pleasant surprise with soup, pizza and chocolate ice cream :). Post dinner had a meeting with all senior committees to figure out the dates for their selection process.  Got done with that by midnight after which there was a KT session for the new MCSA. Went for a midnight snack to Chota with Sania, Ishan, Baby Menon and Pallavi - tadka maggie in the chilly weather was heavenly! Got back to the room by 4. Tomorrow is holi, had escaped it last year but this time that wasn't an option :P

Day 415 - 3rd March 2012

Very lazy day today. There was an MCL match in the afternoon which kept me occupied till the evening. Had a little MCSA work in the night regarding the senior committee selections. Had to send out the committee ranking form. After that had nothing much to do. Played badminton in the night, and was surprisingly able to play a rally of more than 2 shots above eye level :P Got back to the room by 4 and called it a day.

Day 386 - 24th January 2012

Surprisingly woke up in time for breakfast at the mess. Played tennis post breakfast with Anuja. There was another MCL game today, this time between MP and Vineeth's team. It turned out to be a high scoring thriller with  MP's team chasing down 150 in the last over. One of the best matches I have seen in the MCL till date. Post lunch had a 2 hour long siesta. Finished watching Groundhog day in the evening. Have been wanting to formulate my dissertation questionnaire for the past couple of weeks, decided that it had to be done at any cost today. However post dinner procrastination took over. Saw some of the baddy matches couurtesy coxic smash then went to Chota with Kalkar and Buds. Came back to Kachnar and MCSA work took over.That went on for about an hour. The MCSA elections will be held in February, had to work out how to go about the entire process. Finally started working on the questionnaires at 1 a.m. Have completed them now and sent them to my guide. Also need to read up on some material for the literature review. Need to break the shackles from this lethargy that has set in and get cracking with the dissertation work!

Day 385 - 23rd January 2012

Played tennis in the morning with Anuja for about an hour. This term so far has felt like a holiday, have a strange feeling that its all going to be come back and bite me soon. Came back to Kachnar and did the weekly washing of clothes - its always a game of chance with one washing machine at the disposal of 32 people. You've got to pray that nobody has left their clothes in. Have been lucky the past two times. The second round of MCL games began today, umpired the second innings. Was a relatively one sided match. Had Indian Cinema class post lunch. The session was a case study on Bombay Talkies - how it gave rise to the film industry. Himanshu Rai and Devika Rani, the founders of Bombay Talkies were true pioneers in the film industry with the kind of steps they took. They were the ones who started the concept of summer internships. Ashok Kumar, Kamal Amrohi and Dev Anand were some of the products of Bombay Talkies. We were also shown a documentary on Wagah which took a dig at nationalism.

Today was also the deadline for the CIM group assignment submission. This was one group assignment in which people just could not free ride. Was sitting with my group in the library for most of the evening working on the assignment. Got done with it by midnight, just in time for Apu's birthday celebrations in Chinar. She had bought pizzas from Domino's (I had prior intimation and had skipped dinner in the mess for it :P). Was in Chinar till about 245, came back to the room continued the daily tradition

Day 336 - 20th November 2011

Had our make or break MCL game in the morning, which we ended up losing by 14 runs. So that marks the end of the MCL for the Chatur Chachas. Had a full day of classes line up after that. BA continued with behavioural sciences and how the brain functions and its application in retail marketing. It was also the last session of the course. Caught up on some sleep in the lunch break between BA and the course on FMCG branding. Had missed the first half of the FMCG branding course since I was travelling on FIF1 work. The course was conducted by a brand manager from HUL who took us through the brand management framework used by them. The thing I liked about the course was that apart from showing what worked in the market, he also took us through campaigns that bombed in the market. Learning from mistakes is a highly effective method. Got done with classes by 6 post which was doing general tp and reading some stuff off the net. Have a lot of books in the pipeline which I want to read, should start sometime soon. MCSA work took over after dinner, which incidentally was quite good today with Hot and Sour soup being the highlight. Saw a couple of episodes of Futurama before calling it a day. 

Day 335 - 19th November 2011

Managed to wake up on time for the BA class in the morning. But the lack of sleep meant that though the class was interesting, had to keep fighting sleep to pay attention. The sessions continued from where we had left off last week. How the brain functions and how we construct ideas/memory based on a context that is prevalent. Some examples from certain marketing gimmicks were explained as to how one option was made to look superior compared to another. Class got done by 1145 after which I was free for the rest of the day. Had a 3 hour long siesta, could have been longer had it not been for a phone call. Played cricket in the evening for a good hour and a half. Have an MCL game tomorrow which is a sudden death match. The match is at 7 in the morning followed by classes till 8 in the night! And we thought Sunday's were there to relax.

Day 324 - 8th November 2011

Didnt have the best of days on the field today during our MCL game. Managed to score only 6 runs with the bat and after bowling 2 good overs, 22 runs were conceded of my 3rd over which turned the run chase in the opposition's favour. We ended up losing the game by 7 wickets with a couple of overs to spare. Not all is lost though, we still have one more group game which is do or die for us, the good thing is there is no dependency on the net run rate. The morning classes were sessions on Semiotics taken by a visiting faculty. He led most of the discussions through case studies that he has worked on. Film studies in the post lunch session started with the screening of a Japanese movie, Departures. Liked the movie a lot, especially the way it dealt with death. The soundtrack of the movie also was very good. The classroom session was a case study on Iranian cinema and the changes it has gone through since the 1979 revolution and how women have used cinema as an effective medium of communication.  Post dinner had to do the pre reads for a course thats starting tomorrow - Business of Communication in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector (BFSI). This would ideally be the last finance subject to be taught at MICA. 

Day 323 - 7th November 2011

Had our first lecture on Return On Marketing Investment (ROMI) today. The course outline seems pretty interesting and I could find a lot of terms that are used in the business dailies. This was followed by B2B marketing which was case presentations made by different groups. These cases were shared with the class a couple of weeks in advance and people had to present their analysis of the case to the prof and the class. The session on Film Studies started with a movie screening The Shop on Main Street, which served as an example of East European cinema. Couldnt attend the classroom session that followed since there was some MCSA work that kept us occupied. Post dinner a french movie was screened He loves me he loves me not. The movie had a very interesting story and the Prof. had said while laying the context that it was a very difficult movie to make. Had a batch meet after the movie which got done by 1 in the night. Have a MCL match tomorrow, need to wake up at 630 for that!

Day 315 - 12th October 2011

Made it a hatrick of having breakfast in the mess today! Had a lecture at 12, spent some time working on the dissertation proposal before that in the library. Had our first class of Consumer Insight Mining (CIM) today, its one of the more popular courses on campus and is taken by the same prof who taught us consumer behavior. It deals more with qualitative research and looks at finding consumer insights which are derived from research findings.  A brief introduction to the course was given after which the prof discussed a couple of cases in which consumer insights were generated. The brands discussed were Moov and Anacin. For Moov, the insight on which it was launched in the market was discussed and for Anacin the case revolved on how it needed an insight to realize why its competitors were performing better. Post lunch headed back to the library to work on the dissertation proposal. Had a meeting with my dissertation guide in the evening to freeze the topic and discuss the next steps. During the course of the meeting realized that there is a lot of work that needs to be done wrt the literature review. Got back to the library and started working on it though could do that only for half an hour so, was just able to search for research papers through our online database. MCSA duties required us to be present in the audi for a talent hunt organized by Ahmedabad Times. That went on for about an hour and a half post which there was a meeting with the Junior MCSA. Post dinner came back to the library and continued working on the dissertation proposal. Also had the MCL auctions tonight, wasn’t as much fun as last time though. The theme for team names this year is Indian superheroes – Naughty Nagraj, Shikari Shambus, Chatur Chacha’s etc. you get the drift. Yours truly is a Chatur Chacha, if only by brain actually worked faster than a computer I wouldn’t be up until 4 in the library working on the dissertation proposal. As another non Indian superhero would say “That’s all I can stands cos I can stands no more!”

Day 221 - 3rd March 2011

Was feeling extremely drowsy throughout the lectures today. However there were some interesting things that happened that kept me awake. In the CSMM class we had a Stanford alumnus to speak to us about marketing strategies in the digital era. He left us with some really good insights. ME was about the print industry in the country and had some major class participation.

The MCL final took place in the afternoon. It was between Phantoms and Lucky Strike. Unfortunately it turned out to be a pretty one sided affair with the strikes winning it quite easily in the end. They played some really good cricket and were helped by some poor fielding on our side. Anyways that brings this years MCL journey to an end for us. It was good fun while it lasted. Slept for a bit in the evening before we had to start working on the RM group assignment. Distributed work amongst ourselves and that got done by about midnight. After that had to go the audi for the Sankalp directors elections.

Have been clearing up my room for the past hour or so on account of Samar-the sports fest at MICA. All rooms in Palaash have to be vacated for the participants from other colleges. Have a long day tomorrow, there is a NZ Zim game in Ahmedabad and I need to be at the stadium by 830 since its a day game!

Day 220 - 2nd March 2011

Had a holiday today courtesy Mahashivratri. Needless to say. could take the liberty of waking up at 1230 :P Spent the afternoon trying to figure out the NVC assignment. We have to remove the text and logo of a particular brand and see what aspects of it communicate non verbally about it (shape,colour scheme,sounds etc.) In the evening had a practice session with some of the Phantoms. We have made it to the finals of the MCL which will be played tomorrow!

Went to the city with Maushi later in the evening. We got a very important insight about the eateries in Ahmedabad - its very difficult to find a place which serves non vegetarian food! Ended up settling for veg food, which was quite good eventually. Went to a place called Not Just Grill. Dont remember what cuisine it was but it involves the chef making the food in front of you. Tried Mongolian and Japanese cuisines. Came back to the campus at around 930, just in time to see the end of the England Ireland game. Ireland has this knack of pulling off an upset which invariably changes the course of the tournament. In the previous edition of the World Cup they defeated Pakistan and knocked them out of the World Cup. Whether or not this defeat will result in the same fate for England only time will tell. Its also very irritating to know that all good matches in Bangalore have happened after I moved out of the city :P Had the second round of showcase today. 5 plays in total ranging from a murder mystery to the Bhopal Gas tragedy and Maoism in Dantewada to the love story of Arjuna and Chitrangadha. All of them were really good plays. Got done with it at 145, will call it a day in a bit. Back to the routine from tomorrow.

Day 209 - 19th February 2011

Not a great day for the Phantoms in the MCL. Had a super 4 round game against Lucky Strike in which our batting collapsed , we were all out by for 42 while batting first. Now our fate depends on the result of the Reds v/s Navy Square Cut game. Had TAM workshop in the morning, which was pretty interesting.

Today was also the first match of the Cricket World Cup and most of us gathered at the community centre to see the India Bangladesh game. It's good fun watching the game with friends. You also know you are in a marketing and advertising school when there is a collective cringe on seeing an atrocious commercial on TV :D India's batting was a treat to watch with Sehwag and Kohli both scoring centuries. Didn't see the second innings, had to go to the city for some work. Spent the rest of the night doing general tp on the net. Have a rest day tomorrow, maybe thats why Im not getting sleep at 330 in the morning!

Day 196 -6th February 2011

Had a rest day today. Woke up at 123o, which was also because of the fact that I slept at 5 in the morning courtesy the party :P Spent the afternoon watching Marlboro Reds take on Lucky Strike, which the strikes comfortably won. Completed the MDA group assignment in the evening which had to be submitted by 8 in the night. Went to ISCON with Cheryl in the night, had to buy general stuff for the room, though the noteworthy purchases were new shoes and a mp3 player. This was followed by dinner at Subway, was famished by then, managed to finish off a sub and a salad :D Got back to campus by around 11. Have been doing general tp and started reading a book - Ambani and Sons which I bought a couple of months back. All in all a nice rest day, just what one needs before a 6 day 9 to 5 week of classes.

Day 196 - 5th February 2011

One of those days when you just love being a part of this place! Phantoms had our first game of the Super Fours round of the MCL in the morning which was against Navy Square Cut. We got off to a horrendous start and were 4/4 at one stage. However some sensible batting and a burst in the middle took to us to what we thought was a competitive total of 70. There is a new type of ball, a red one, which is not as heavy as the green one that is being used for this round, because of this its not as quick through the air or off the pitch as the green one. We realised this when Square Cut came out to bat. Some tight batting and brilliant bowling from our side ensured that they would be wrapped up for 37 in around 12 overs. What a game!

This was followed by the MICA day celebrations. Today was also the 20th anniversary of MICA. There was a cake cutting (which I missed because of the match) and a special lunch organized. After the lunch we had a cultural programme which saw active participation from the admin staff and faculty. Nice to see them let their hair down and have a good time. Students also put up a few performances. A few of us made an impromptu performance for SIR on the song SIR We love you :D Recorded the video and it turned out to be quite hilarious! Its become a huge viral at least amongst the MICAns on facebook. All in all a fun day.

But this is MICA and things aren't that simple. In the next hour or so we are scheduled to have a party, the legendary MICAn one. So its going to be a loooong night! Thats why I thought I'd post this now itself. ;-)

Day 192 - 1st February 2011

Had a full day of lectures today. IM was pretty interesting, today's discussion was about google analytics and how companies use search engine optimisation. Ended up missing the SDM lecture cos I never realised how time flew at Chota. Was having this discussion about how things are changing in college and whether its for better or worse. After that had our first lecture on contemporary strategic marketing management (CSMM) in the audi which was taken by the director. Discussed how the strategies of some global companies that worked and some that didn't/

In the afternoon we finally had the last game of the league stages of the MCL. Indian Kings took on Smokin Joes. If Indian Kings won then they would do Navy Sqaure Cut a huge favour and send them through to the next round with 2 points however if Smokin Joes won then they would go through to the next round. Unfortunately for the Joes, Aashish Dua chose this match to justify his tag as the most expensive player of the MCL. He scores an unbeaten 72 of 50 deliveries and took the Kings to a score of 119. Chasing at 6 an over from the beginning of the innings is never an easy task on this ground. The Joes were never really in the chase and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Eventually the Kings pulled off what could be termed as an upset victory.

After the match went to Bopal for a jog/run. Looks like 2 days of going to Bopal has taken its toll on me, after that had dinner and then never realised when I went off to sleep :P

Day 138 - 24th November 2010

The MCL is heating up and all the action is spilling over off the field as well. So today's game was between Navy 'Square' Cuts and Lucky Strikes (who are incidentally the defending champions). It was expected to be a cakewalk for the strikes, but as they say this is a game of glorious uncertainties and we got to know today why it is so true! Strikes batted first and posted a competitive total of 98 on the board. Their mainstay in the batting order was given a life and he made the most of it in a partnership with a Wasim Jaffer clone. Though after he got out wickets started falling at regular intervals and the SQ's also raised the bar when it came to their ground fielding with some really good catches and ground fielding. On this ground anything above 80 gives the bowlers something to bowl at and with the kind of bowling attack the strikes had one knew it wasn't going to be an easy task. After losing Ravi early, it was upto Vineeth and Vikesh to steady the innings. The two roommates gave a brilliant exhibition of sensible batting, something that is rarely seen in the MCL. They hardly hit any boundaries but were always alert to steal singles and twos and even capitalise on overthrows (there were quite a few). The way they played out the strike bowlers of the strikes(pun intended) was a delight to watch, there were hardly any false shots played. Before the strikes could realise it SQ's motored along at a rate that was very close to the required rate. The two V's had laid a brilliant foundation for the rest of the team to launch the final assault. They even played out 5 of the 8 overs to be bowled by Beedi and Puri, the strike bowlers mentioned earlier. At around the 14th over a mini collapse of sorts took place with 4 wickets falling in quick succession, however Utkarsh brought the game back into balance by belting 2 consecutive boundaries before getting out trying to go for the third one. It was now down to Akshay Menon, popularly known as Baby Menon, since he just turned 21 and also because the other Menon in the batch is as old as father time ;-) So a little background is required here, Akshay was not able to score in the previous 2 matches and one of his innings lasted 15 deliveries without scoring a run. This made him the butt of a lot of jokes from the seniors but today he proved to them (and us) that he definitely isn't a baby and showed tremendous maturity in the final overs of the chase. He got into the groove by clubbing a couple of boundaries and keeping the required rate at a run a ball. The most crucial over though was the penultimate one with 12 runs required of 12 deliveries. Akshay whacked the first legal delivery of the over all the way to Bopal and with the first ball being a no ball only 5 runs were required of 11 balls. This is where he maintained his composure and showed great temperament, the next 5 deliveries were good ones and played all of them on merit. The strikes tried their level best to get under his skin with their trademark sledging but that hardly flustered him. With Dhruv taking a single early in the last over it was befitting that Baby Menon hit the winning runs which sent all the pgp1 students gathered at the ground into a frenzy! It was a clinical performance by the SQ's. The strikes were good in certain phases of the game with Kanabar taking 2 good catches on the off side, but apart from that they will rue the overthrows that they gifted the SQ's. At the end of the day the better team won.

Now generally at the end of such an exciting match if you were to choose one man who made an indelible impact on the game, the last person you would think of is the umpire! But such is the beauty of the MCL that today's man of the match had to be Satyaprem. He has always received a lot of flak from the seniors for no reason and has taken it in his stride. But today an altogether new level was reached when the strikes used all possible pressure tactics to make him crack but SP stood his ground. There were a couple of straightforward decisions that he made which were made to look controversial by the strikes and they used that as an excuse to converge on him as a mob, with stumps being wielded a weapon of mass destruction :P Unfortunately such tactics to disturb the concentration of the batsmen and the umpires hardly work, it only makes the bowling team look quite silly. Due credit must be given to people from pgp1 who supported Satyaprem in full force. Generally in such cases there is a tacit understanding between both teams that whatever happens on the field remains on the field. However that rule was broken when one of the strikes, wrote a pretty disgusting note about Satyaprem on facebook, with morphed images and all. Now until sometime back I respected for the guy for his knowledge on cricket and his writing skills, after reading the garbage he wrote that too on a public forum about a person from his own college I was quite saddened. Also the person in question was not even directly affected by Satyaprem's decisions because he was bowled of the first ball anyway :-D It got worse with him showing absolutely no remorse for what he had done and some other pgp2 guys actually supporting him on facebook. The replies to his note, especially to girls who requested him to remove the post,were quite disgusting! Anyways we as a batch have decided not to react because then we would have to stoop to the levels that they have gone to.

Nonetheless quite an eventful day, out of all this pgp1 got its first real rockstar - Satyaprem. As ironical as it may sound, he owes it all to pgp2 and their 'official blogger' ;-)

Day 133 -19th November 2010

The good times continued today as well. In our second MLS in 2 days, Bharatbala (of the A R Rahman Vande Mataram fame) came to campus to talk to us. Spellbinding would be an understatement!! He spoke about his life and his experiences while making the Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana videos. His passion for what he does in commendable. Pretty much drives home the point that if you find what you like and pursue it wholeheartedly happiness is not too far away. He was also creative director of the opening and closing ceremonies for the CWG in Delhi. Shared his experience from there as well. Both ceremonies were a grand success in spite of the government and bureaucracy. There were some parts of the opening ceremony that were performed for the first time at stadium during the actual ceremony itself! He also spoke about the parts that he felt could have been done better, he shared with us the original plan for the opening ceremony which was much more grand than the ceremony which we saw (which was quite grand actually). Unfortunately that did not materialise because of the efficient way in which the government functions ;-) There were also some broadcasting flaws that he spoke about. The entire broadcasting team was from the UK and tried to depict a picture of India that they had in their minds, they missed out on showing some really significant moments like when the Pakistan contingent entered the stadium during the opening ceremony, the PM actually stood up and applauded them, politically a very significant moment but they didn't feel it was worth covering! The session went on for more than 3 hours but was not boring at all. The sheer scale on which he conceptualises events is unbelievable.

Apart from that had a pretty routine day. IMM lectures were on strategic media planning. Discussed some of the accepted practices in the field and the evolution of certain core media principles. There was a MCL match between Marlboro Reds (pgp1) and 502 Pataka (pgp2) in the afternoon, the Reds had to win by a certain margin to qualify for the next round. Quite a lot of people from pgp1 came out to support the Reds and gave pgp2 a taste of their own medicine. Unfortunately they didnt take it too well, but if they dish out something they should be prepared to take it as well. The fact that the Reds won and knocked out Pataka didn't help matters for pgp2. ;-)

In the night worked on a marketing competition for IMT which is based on co-branding and a little bit of sports marketing. Did that for a while before going to Chota for chai. The weather has improved and its quite cold during the nights. Makes it all the more difficult to wake up in the morning :-P

Day 122 - 8th November 2010

Its nice to be back on campus, for a change the weather is very pleasant. Had to carry my sweatshirt from home. Started off with one of the two subjects that I am looking forward to this semester - Introduction to Media Management(IMM). One of the faculty members taking the course is a MICA alumnus and is presently the VP at Jagran Prakashan. He had 3 sessions with us today and it didn't feel boring at all, we were introduced to the basic concepts of media planning and research. This subject is an extension of IMEI from the last sem which I found quite interesting, hoping this is also follows the same trend. Today's CB class revolved mainly around two different advertisements for Bajaj Pulsar and Avenger. The idea was to show us how the ads tried work on the different levels in Maslow's hierarchy of needs, some of the inputs that came in though were hilarious to say the least and unfortunately cannot be reproduced on this blog ;-)

All plans for a siesta were thwarted since there was a practice match against Navy 'Square' Cut. MCL will pick up again now that MICANVAS and the diwali break are done. It was a close match which we ended up winning by 2 runs. Yours truly got out on the first ball of the match :-P The fact that I hardly spent anytime at the crease made me feel like I had absolutely no exercise, so went to the gym and ran a bit on the treadmill :-D

The second course I am looking forward to this term is Advertising Management(AM),again taught by a very good prof, which begins tomorrow. Had a pre read for that which I did in pre and post dinner. Got done with that and went to MICARE - the retail store on campus run by students, they keep everything that we otherwise would have to make a trip to the city to go to get. Got back to the room and read a bit of IMM, we have a quiz on the subject tomorrow. Have some more quizzes and assignment submissions lined up over the next week, looks like the vacation part of the semester is coming to an end :-(

Day 119 - 2nd November 2010

One of the most lethargic days since college has begun. Felt drowsy throughout the day. Somehow managed to sit through all lectures(was in half a mind to bunk a half way through the day). A friend from Bombay,Priya had come to campus for some Art of Living work. She is a MICA alumnus and was getting all nostalgic about the campus and her various hangouts. Made me wonder how it would be for us when we come back to this place after 3-4 years.

MCL started off again today after a break due to MICANVAS. A really really close match between India Kings (PGP1) and Lucky Strikes (PGP2), strikes ended up winning by 1 run. Its an unbelievable trend that games follow, where the team batting second chasing a total of around 90 just collapses when everything seems to be going their way. The strikes have some innovative ways of getting under the skin of the opposition, when they were in a tough spot they used the spectator sledging to create an Inzamam like scenario where one of their players ran into the spectators with a stump in his hand :D Talk about it being the gentleman's game ;-) Anyways these things stay on the field only.

In the night we had an impromptu unplugged session at Palaash, was amazing fun. People from as far as Silver Oak could hear us and came to see what the tamasha was all about :-) After that had to get down to assignment submissions. Had to work out some pricing strategies for a baseball team,pretty interesting stuff. Went to Chota for Paratha and Burji at around 2 in the night, the weather is brilliant in the night, a nice chill in the air. Need to get my sweater when I go back home in a couple of days :-)

Day 111 - 25th October 2010

Had a 10 o'clock today so could afford to wake up a little late. The DC lecture had a major argument between a bunch of students and the prof. on whether divorce was a development issue or not. The prof. felt that it was an issue but majority of the class felt that the causes of divorce were development issues. It ended with no consensus whatsoever. IGD was all about power,influence and politics about the workplace. Got to some interesting facts about the way the Japanese and Europeans work. Was feeling extremely sleepy by the end of the lecture. Slept for a almost 3 hours in the afternoon. Woke up so that I could see a bit of the MCL game between Smokin Joes and Navy Square Cut, but the match was already over by then. Smokin Joes won by 92 runs.

Went to Bopal in the evening for a haircut. The road to Bopal is such a pleasure to ride on unlike how it was during the monsoon. There was a nice chill in the air as well. Tried to read up a bit about Ayodhya for tomorrow's Imagining India class. MICANVAS is 2 days away and things are now moving in full swing. Had a security meet in the night, this was for the concert on the 30th. A detailed security plan was shown to us. All the guys from PGP1 will be volunteering for security. We will also be moving in to senior hostels for the next 5 days. Have to pack for that as well. Will be going for another round of general sales tomorrow, not sure whether I will be able to update until MICANVAS is over, will try though!
